MAKE IN INDIA (PART 2)
Last time, I wrote an introduction about “Make In India“, Modi’s way to increase India’s industry. On this second part, let’s see what does “Make In India” offer to us… There are 11 elements that India is ready to offer to us, check them out!
1. AUTOMOBILES
Do you know that India is the world’s fifth biggest automobile market? For sure, this can climb up to number three by 2019.

2. CHEMICALS
In Chemicals field, India is Asia’s third largest country who produce chemicals and petrochemicals. Not only that, India is the fourth largest global producer for agrochemicals.

3. ELECTRONIC SYSTEM
We can say this particular field, where PM Modi’s emphasis is. He has vision for global chip makers to build their semi-conductor factories in India, which would in turn attract manufacturers of electronics goods such as smartphones and tablets.

4. FOOD PROCESSING
One of India’s strong points is their agriculture sector. Remember! Tea is originally come from India
5. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Speaking about IT? Wow, my brain will directly think of Indian people! They’re really brilliant! India accounts for almost twothirds of the global IT outsourcing market. It’s the largest exporter of IT services in the world! Can you believe it? IT sector is one of the largest white collar job creators in the country. Based on a research, it estimates the industry will continue to grow at 9.5% over the next five years to 2020.

6. LEATHER
India has large number of cattle and buffalo population. This makes India to be the world’s second largest leather footwear and clothing producer. The industry’s turnover is more than $12 billion per year and exports are projected to grow at 24% annually over the next five years.

7. PHARMACEUTICALS
India has been exporting cheap generic drugs to over 200 countries. It’s the world’s largest supplier of cheap generic drugs. Based on research, it will grow 20% per year over the next five years.

8. PORTS & SHIPPING
India has more than 7,500 kilometers of coastline that features 12 major ports and 200 minor ports. The maritime transport contributes to 90% of the country’s trade by volume and 70% by value. The government has plans to implement full mechanization of cargo handling and movement at ports.

9. TEXTILES
India is the largest producer of cotton in the world. In the city where I come from, Jakarta, Indonesia, if you are looking for fabrics to make clothes, people will go to a place which sells a super complete fabrics and other fabrics related things and that place is dominated by Indians! Many successful Indian businessmen in Indonesia are those whose business is either in the textile area or entertainment area. Hmmm, no wonder why
