You know that sometimes you are in need of seeking new suppliers, but you just don’t have the resources to do that. Maybe you don’t have enough time or money to go to another country, or maybe you want someone else to take care about the sourcing because you would have problems with the language the suppliers speak.

So, what does Trade Fair Representation actually include?

We will represent you at a trade show where you can not attend.  The sourcing analyst or project manager obtains a detailed pool of Suppliers’ information of products, certifications, capabilities, evaluation analysis etc. This way you can get faster and more accurate and evaluated information about potential suppliers and product quotations.

The reports include:

This month, our sourcing analysts have participated in three different trade fairs in Asia in search for new suppliers. Check out the pictures and short stories about them:

Daniela and Isaac in Canton Fair, Guangzhou, China

Daniela:  My experience at Canton Fair was exceptional; I have never seen many suppliers together in my entire life. They are friendly and open to any question. Our goal was to find ATV tires suppliers, a task assigned to Isaac, my Spanish Colleague, and me. At the end, we were able to find enough suppliers in order to develop back at the office. This experience helps us to get to know the real suppliers and most of all see the actual product they offer.

The fair is divided by sections so we immediately went to Vehicles Spare parts in order to start our search, which took around 15 min to get there, the fair is immense. When we finally arrived to the desired section, the suppliers were really friendly and open to our questions. We were able  to complete a full supplier survey per supplier.

Daniela in Global Sources Mobile Electronics, Hong Kong

This time Daniela went to the fair to do Trade Mission Support. This means that she attended the fair together with the customer to provide professional support for him.

Daniela: The client wanted  to go to the global sources fair in order to find general suppliers. He didn’t have a specific product to search for, so we practically walked through the whole fair. If the client was interested in a supplier, we would stop to the booth to ask for quotations and samples, and fill out the supplier survey. At the end, the suppliers where more pushy but somewhat friendlier than on Canton Fair. Still, the client had a great experience, as well as me.

Katri and Phoebe in International Fashion Fair, Ningbo, China:

Katri: Our customer is going to open a new line of children’s suits in their home country. The main problem they have right now is that there biggest competitors are importing these type of suits from China with very good quality. In their home country, our customer does not have the suppliers or the factory capabilities to manufacture the suits. So the main objective for this Trade Fair Representation was to go to the fair and search for the best suppliers and clothing.

In the end, we were quite surprised that there weren’t so many booths offering suits for kids, so we didn’t get enough potential suppliers for our customer. This means that we still need to carry on sourcing and go to some other fair.
