From May 31st to June 2nd, Hong Kong was filled with ideas, dreams, laughs, but especially with entrepreneurs who gathered together in the second edition of the RISE conference in Hong Kong. The RISE conference is a place where entrepreneurs can show their starts ups, meet other entrepreneurs and meet possible investors who can help them make their dreams come true.

Our Tech 4 Trade team also took part of this event. As you may already know, Tech 4 Trade was created a few years ago as a solution for supply chain processes in order to ease process management during the supply chain.
The fair was divided in three days; every day different startups exposed their companies to other visitors. Lots of fascinating startups could be found every day, some were reimagining the market and some were creating new markets. It was really beautiful. A fair like this is a great place to learn from others who are also starting their new companies, to explore how the market is going and for networking with people from very different companies. There were visitors from all over the world, from different industries and with different experiences. Besides, the fair is filled with lots of experts and investors who are the ones who can give startups some very good advice and who can help them growth and take them to the next step.

One of the most interesting parts of the fair was the Pitch competition. In there, startups were showing their companies to a panel of judges, their time was limited and after the presentation they had to answer the judges’ questions. After three intense days of competition, the last day only two startups remained and the winning company earned a trip to the biggest startup event in the world, held in Europe.

Experts were constantly giving speeches sharing with attendees their own insights in the startup environment, information about new market trends and some tips for the entrepreneurs. But wait! The fair did not ended there. During the night, the Organization held numerous outdoors activities; such as bar crawls or marathons, in order for people to loosen up a little bit and to help them with networking. At the end, networking is the most important thing in this kind of events.

Our Tech 4 Trade team did a lot of networking, met lots of incredible startups and interested investors. We are all hoping that for a fruitful relationship with all of them.
