Good day! I’m super excited to write an article about my first factory inspection visit. People say “There is a time for everything” ; and this is my first factory inspection visit!

My visit was to a stroller factory in Ningbo and there was so much fun! Let’s get started!

The Stroller Framework

My colleagues and I arrived at the factory at lunch time, so we had lunch together with some of the factory’s employees at their canteen. Our inspection process started after lunch. We were brought to their manufacture place and to their warehouse. Once we were there, we started the inspection directly. I didn’t have the chance to see the manufacturing process because at that time, the process had already finished.

I followed the inspection process and I witnessed 1 important thing: thoroughness. The inspectors were checking the product thoroughly, following the client requirements.

The inspection was started with the measurement. The inspectors cooperated with the factory’s engineer measured all the specification required with specialized tools to make sure that all the measurements are conformed with the clients’ requirements.

They checked every dimensions, every details of the product from the framework to the final product, to make sure there are no defects on the product. If the inspectors find any defects, they will mark that defect spots with sticker so that the manufacturer can repair them.

They took notes and pictures to be posted on the real time report system, so that our clients can get the information ASAP and know what’s going on on their product inspection process.

To finish the whole inspection process, it takes quite a long time, well, it depends on the quantity and how detail the requirement is. Though at that time, I couldn’t see the manufacturing process, but I did have a really great time going to the inspection. Can’t wait to go to my next inspection!
